Hello, for once some good news about a tax: the sales tax rates in California have dropped.
Effective January 1, 2017, the sales tax rate in Pasadena will be 8.75%. The Sales tax rate in Los Angeles County is also 8.75%, as is the current sales tax rate in the City of Los Angeles.
Event will also raise money to support Pasadena Ronald McDonald House through sale of Pie ‘n Burger meals

CHEESEBURGER COMMEMORATION:
During Cheeseburger Week from January 8th to January 13th, Pasadena honors Lionel Sternberger's genius in being the first to put cheese to hamburger and serve it at the Rite Spot in Pasadena in 1924.
Forty of Pasadena's favorite restaurants, lounges and burger joints offered their signature burgers, some special creations and a deals during Pasadena Cheeseburger Week.

Through our work with the College and Career Office and on campuses, and largely thanks to the help , support and involvement of Pasadena Chamber members, we have been able to impact the future of many students in the Pasadena Unified School District.
The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce is directly involved with preparing our youth for the world of work. We do this by engaging our business community to connect with Pasadena Unified School District high school students.
The 2017 legislative session produced new laws that will affect California employers’ day-to-day operations and policies in 2017 and beyond. Some new laws made significant changes while others new laws made small changes to existing law. Quite a few bills this year feature delayed or phased-in implementation.
