Sales tax rate change-new business regulations for 2017

Hello, for once some good news about a tax: the sales tax rates in California have dropped.

Effective January 1, 2017, the sales tax rate in Pasadena will be 8.75%. The Sales tax rate in Los Angeles County is also 8.75%, as is the current sales tax rate in the City of Los Angeles.

Cheeseburger Week celebration begins January 8th

During Cheeseburger Week from January 8th to January 13th,  Pasadena honors Lionel Sternberger's genius in being the first to put cheese to hamburger and serve it at the Rite Spot in Pasadena in 1924.

Forty of Pasadena's favorite restaurants, lounges and burger joints offered their signature burgers, some special creations and a deals  during Pasadena Cheeseburger Week.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce is directly involved with preparing our youth for the world of work. We do this by engaging our business community to connect with Pasadena Unified School  District high school students.
