Can you take one evening to help a high school student by being part of Health Career Academy mentor night?

Healthcare occupations are expected to have the fastest employment growth and will add the most jobs between now and 2024. Every year the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce invite health career professionals to share their career path with interested 11th graders enrolled in Blair High School’s Health Career Academy. We are cordially inviting YOU to the Speed Mentoring/Mock Interview night on Wednesday, November 8th from 5:30pm-7pm at Blair High School’s cafeteria (1135 S Euclid Ave, Pasadena, CA 91106).

Here’s how it works:

Mentors will have three students paired with them over the course of the evening. The first two students rotating to you will spend about ten minutes each asking questions about your career path. The third student rotating to you will show you their resume and you will conduct a mock interview and give them feedback on their interview skills and resume. (Interview questions and rubric will be provided)

Interested professionals in the health care sector available to attend must send a short professional bio (so the students can be matched with a mentor) by 11/1/2017 to amy@pasadena-chamber.org

If you have any questions before you commit please feel free to connect with Amy Foell 626-795-3355 or amy@pasadena-chamber.org
