Chamber helps Blair High Health Career Academy students with job shadow opportunities

Groundhog Day on February 2nd also happens to be National Job Shadow Day for high school students. With the help of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, juniors enrolled in Blair High School's Health Career Academy shadowed local health professionals spanning this rapidly growing industry sector. Each student spent a few hours at the host's place of work observing, utilizing the latest technology and experiencing valuable hands-on learning about that specific career path. "Job shadows are a great preparation exercise for students' summer internships", said Amy Foell Pasadena Chamber's Workforce Development Director and coordinator of several work-based learning activities across PUSD's career academies.
