Interested in hosting a summer intern? Here's what you need to know

The Pasadena Chamber is working with our member Ideal Youth by assisting in finding local businesses among our membership who would be interested in hosting a summer intern this year.

Ideal Youth and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce invite you to participate in the 2013 Summer Internship Program. We would like your help in offering paid or non-paid internships for young people. Concurrently, prior to placements, Ideal Youth will provide the interns with educational training courses in technology, communication, personal finance, business basics and personal development.

As a partnering business, you will have access to work-ready, motivated young adults, ages 16 - 19, who are seeking summer work experience. In addition you will:

  • Have a young person to assist with the operation of your business;
  • Prepare students for the future workforce by creating a talent pool of productive workers;
  • Demonstrate a tangible commitment in supporting young people in our local community;
  • Potentially make a difference in a young person's life;
  • Receive certificate of appreciation for being a host company from Ideal Youth;
  • Receive a Pasadena Chamber of Commerce certificate certifying our youth training program meets basic workplace training requirements and ensuring that young people placed with your company are appropriately prepared to intern in your workplace; and
  • Receive a custom certificate displaying your business support for youth workforce development.

Ideal Youth works with young people from our local community. Ideal Youth trains each youth for a job placement. That training includes workforce readiness training and customer service training.

Internships can be paid or unpaid.
