Intern Insights: PHS App Academy Student thrives at Jane Reese-Wilkins & Associates

It’s intern season again at the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce. This year we are placing over 120 high school interns with host companies and organizations across the San Gabriel Valley. Over fifty employors have said YES to playing a vital role in the lives of our youth. This summer will mark the beginning of our partnership shaping students with hands-on experience in the workplace. Time spent in the professional arena serves as an invaluable living classroom.

Here’s what Jane Reese-Wilkins & Associates has to say about their intern from Pasadena High School’s App Academy.

Intern at work

Bryan Campuzano is a wonderful Intern and it is a pleasure to have him working with us this Summer! He is very professional , punctual , he listens well and catches on really fast. He is very focused and he wants to do well. We are so excited to have him.”

Each intern that successfully completes 60 hours at their internship in conjunction with the online internship class provided by PUSD will receive a $250.00 stipend during the culminating celebration for hosts, interns and their families at Pasadena City College on August 18th. Please make a donation towards our summer intern stipend fund here. While many of our internship hosts do cover the stipend there are many organizations that do not have the budget to do so. Please consider adopting an intern (or an organization) so every student can connect the value of their efforts this summer with a little monetary award.
