Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the invention of the Cheeseburger in Pasadena, local restaurants are joining the culinary celebration. Several participants offer special menu items and pricing for the celebration.
Cheeseburger Week® is another way to highlight the innovation DNA of Pasadena. We are known for world-altering innovation and daring firsts. Pasadena has led the world in rocket science, scientific research, innovative design, bioscience, engineering and much more. We also are the hometown of Julia Child and the birthplace of the Cheeseburger, two very important contributions to our culinary palette.
This year, for Cheeseburger Week®, the Chamber is very pleased to welcome Magnolia House, California Pizza Kitchen, CHAMO Venezuelan Cuisine, Deluxe 1717, New York Chicken and Gyro, SLAB and all of our full-service hotels to help celebrate Cheeseburger Week.
For those not wanting the burger but craving the cheese experience, Agnes Restaurant and Cheesery has an amazing and delicious selection of cheeses. And they have a cheesemonger (REALLY!) who selects all the delightful cheeses.

Lucky Baldwin's (and their Trappiste Pub and Delirium Cafe) have a slider tour of Great Britain with versions reflecting Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English flavors and toppings. The American and Lucky Baldwin’s Burger are still on the menu for those who savor their regular menu items.
California Pizza Kitchen unveils their West Coast Burger, the WCB, for Cheeseburger Week® in Pasadena. CPK also unveils their unique Thank You Cards reward program. After each visit CPK will present each guest over 18 with a thank you card. Prizes range from Discounts on their order, Various grand cash prizes, Trips, and Concert Tickets.
Magnolia house has their specially created Roasted Bone Marrow Burger which features a Half pound patty, roasted bone marrow butter, marinated shiitake and oyster mushrooms, triple creme Camembert, arugula, red onion, toasted milk bun. Favorites the House Burger and Duke Burger are also available.
Twohey’s in South Pasadena is featuring their Bacon & Bleu Burger, a half pound Angus beef patty, applewood smoked bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, arugula, red onion, tomato, bleu cheese dressing on a toasted brioche bun. For Cheeseburger Week you can get a Ring Combo at no extra charge when you order the Bacon ad Bleu Burger.
For the ultimate in burger luxury, The Langham Huntington Hotel Pasadena features its Royal Royce burger. A sophisticated approach to surf and turf was created by a trio of chefs at The Langham Huntington for the hotel’s Royce steakhouse. The $100 surf-and-turf showstopper features a USDA Prime beef mix of 60 percent short rib and 40 percent brisket topped with a butter-poached lobster tail, smoked chanterelle mushrooms, raclette fondue, and truffles shaven tableside, in a charcoal brioche sprinkled with gold leaf.
This year Dog Haus Biergarten and Dog Haus (Hills Street) will feature special pricing for their Haus Burger and a drink. At Biergarten, this features their $10 Haus Burger and a fountain Drink (fountain drink, beer or well shot at Dog Haus Biergarten on Green St) for $10.
