Special meals and deals during Cheeseburger Week through January 13th

40 Pasadena eateries celebrate the invention of the cheeseburger in Pasadena with delicious offerings, specials and more

Cheeseburger Week 2017 is here!

During Cheeseburger Week from January 8th to January 13th, 2017, Pasadena honors Lionel Sternberger’s genius in being the first to put cheese to hamburger and serve it at the Rite Spot in Pasadena in 1924.

Forty of Pasadena’s favorite restaurants, lounges and burger joints will offer their signature burgers, some special creations and deals during Pasadena Cheeseburger Week. Central Park Restaurant, Del Frisco’s Grille, El PortalLucky Baldwin’s and Whole Foods Market-Arroyo are among those offering specially created burgers for Cheeseburger Week.

Pie ‘n Burger, The Counter, Lucky Baldwin’s (three locations), Dog haus and Dog Haus Biergarten are among those offering special deals for Cheeseburger Week.

Who is whipping up something special to commemorate Lionel Sternberger's invention of the cheeseburger?

El Portal and Yahiara's returns with the Zacatecas Burger, deliciously seasoned Yucatan pork, ground beef and chorizo grilled and served on a toasted roll with cheese and all the trimmings.

The Counter offers their signature "Old School" Burger (1/3 pound Hormone Antibiotic Beef, Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Pickles on a Brioche Bun with our house made relish) and Single Side Order of French Fries for $10. Guests just need to say to their server..."Old School Cheeseburger Week Special!".

Lucky Baldwin's offers a special burger at a discount at each of their three locations.

Meat District Company offers special deals and menu items for Cheeseburger Week. You can get a Cheeseburger and a Beer/Soda for $15 at meat Distrcit Company as well as a special debut Cheeseburger for Cheeseburger Week - a beef patty burger, with cheese, onions and more deep fried in our house dough. It is absolutely to die for!

In addition, both locations will be serving the Big Mc, a tribute to Jim Delligatti, inventor of the Big Mac, who passed away late last year, and to his creativity in extending Lionel Sternberger’s genius idea of the cheeseburger. BIG MC is two all beef patties, 1001 island, lettuce, white american cheese, pickles, onions, on a grilled Hawaiian bun.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce hosts the third Cheeseburger Week and Cheeseburger Challenge January 8th to 13th, 2017. Once again, you’ll be able to vote for your favorites in a number of categories, from traditional lunch counter burgers to white table cloth and gourmet cheeseburgers. We’ll also have an alternative cheeseburger category or two, as well.
