Assessor Jeffrey Prang has asked that I reach out and let you know we are organizing our next Resource Seminar for property and business owners on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 1-3 PM. This seminar generally draws 150-200 participants and will be held at Monrovia Community Center (119 West Palm Avenue, Monrovia).
Please let us know if you’d be willing to assist us in promoting the event by disseminating the attached 
Event details are as follows:
Saturday, May 12th, 2018
12:00-1:00 PM: Sign-in
1:00-3:00 PM: Welcome and presentations
3:00-4:00 PM: Q&A at individual stations
4:00-5:00 PM: Cleanup
A key component of the program will be presentations by Assessor staff on three of the most commonly asked areas:
a) Property tax saving programs (such as the Homeowners’ Exemption);
b) Property transfers from parents to children without triggering higher taxes;
c) Replacement dwellings for seniors while maintaining their low tax burdens.
