Today is President's Day.

Our country has had great leaders, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington inspired this day of celebration. We have had presidents whow have led in wartime and peacetime. We have had presidents who weathered economic disaster, terror both here and abroad and peace and prosperity.

We have enjoyed great leadership, mediocre presidents and some who were not gifted as leaders.

Presidents have presided over our nation at its best and at its worst. Some have inspored us to be a gerat nation. Some have incited the worst of our natures.

"The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature," Abraham Lincoln's Firest Inaugural Address.

"Remember that it is the actions, and not the commission, that make the officer, and that there is more expected from him, than the title."-George Washington's ADDRESS TO THE OFFICERS OF THE VIRGINIA REGIMENT | THURSDAY, JANUARY 08, 1756

"I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong," Abraham Lincoln

“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” Abraham Lincoln
