CHOICESS is a private, nonprofit 501( c ) (3) Corporation that was founded in 1988 by Joseph and Rebecca Donofrio and a Board of Directors made up of family members, individuals receiving services and advocates with the mission of providing support services to persons with developmental disabilities who want to live, work and recreate in their own communities.
The mission of CHOICESS is to provide support services to persons with developmental disabilities so that they can live, work and recreate in the community, and for individuals to become interdependent within their community by assisting to build and develop aÂ community network. CHOICESS will provide support, and coordinateÂ generic services for individuals to function successfully in their community. The agency is committed to insuring that persons with developmental disabilities can obtain the same quality of life that exists for all members of their community.
CHOICESS supports people with developmental disabilities who are over the age of 18, are Regional Center clients, and who need support to successfully access their community. Individuals who utilize CHOICESS may have one or more of the following labels: intellectual disabilities, spectrum disorder, behavioral challenges, physical disabilities, sensory impairment or need for psychological support.
Cottage Co-Op Nursery School
Cottage Co-op Nursery School was founded in 1972 as a non-profit, cooperative preschool by former Pacific Oaks parents who were inspired to create a co-operative school that honored Pacific Oaks approach to learning while extending its benefits to the whole family. Serves children 2 years through pre-K Small class sizes with a capacity enrollment of around 60 Low adult: child ratios of 1:3 for our younger students and 1:4 for our older preschoolers.

Evergreen Preschool is a uniquely designed facility providing the highest quality care and education for families in Pasadena and the surrounding areas. Year-round, full day program, along with diapers and wipes for infants and lunch for children ages 24 months and up are included in the price of tuition. Evergreen Preschool serves children 3 months to 6 years of age and implements an emergent style curriculum aligned with the California State Learning Foundations to ensure kindergarten readiness upon completion of the program. Tours are available by appointment during regular business hours, Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Since 1920, Rosemary Children's Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been committed to helping troubled and at-risk children in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. We turn children's haircut nightmare to a fun adventure through trained stylists who love working with kids, interactive experience of the store design and fun prizes and games. We also carry tear free kids friendly beauty products. Lastly we even host birthday parties in our salon party room so kids can come in for a haircut, get an awesome prize and come back for a party.
We host birthday parties for kids in our hair salon's party room offering multiple themes/ packages gearing towards children. Our parties provide a solid 2 hours of fun and entertainment for the birthday squad and the parent. Our trained party directors will ensure all attendees have a great time.
We provide haircut, spa and birthday parties for children and families. Our friendly stylists are trained to work with young children and children with special needs. We partner with Autism Speaks at the national level and do a lot of fund raising to give back. We have developed a solid guide on getting kids with special needs more comfortable with the haircut experience which can be very challenging and frustrating. As the result of our training we provide to our staff, we have become the go-to haircut place for kids with special needs.

Villa Esperanza Services
Villa Esperanza Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and education of children, adults and seniors with disabilities. Founded in 1961 by a group of mothers who believed their developmentally disabled children deserved quality care and education, the program was named Villa Esperanza ("House of Hope") in 1966. Today, Villa serves children, adults and seniors each year ranging in age from 5-96 years old and include individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer's, dementia, Down syndrome, speech or communication difficulties and many other developmental disabilities. Villa serves individuals in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties by offering: o A comprehensive school for children and youth to age 22, serving 24 school districts; o A Speech and Language Center serving children, adults and seniors at Villa and in the surrounding communities; o An integrated, community-based employment and work placement program; o A center and community-based day program for adults; o Eight adult residences in Pasadena and one in Thousand Oaks; o An integrated Adult Day Program serving adults and seniors; o An integrated Care Management Program serving adults and seniors in 41 cities; o Independent Living Services program and a 6-unit independent living apartment in Pasadena
