On May 6th new Council Member John Kennedy was sworn in to represent Pasadena District 3. Jacque Robinson was chosen to serve as vice mayor.

On May 17th, the City Council began deliberations on raising taxes, fees and charges by the consumer price index (where applicable). Fees and charges that are levied at a percentage of costs remain at the same precentage.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce has been growing in recent years. Our membership is increasing year-over-year by about 100 new members. We are very pleased to welcome so many new enterprises to the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

At the Pasadena Chamber, we are also seeing an increasing in the number of renewing companies. Some of that can be attributed to the slow levelling off of our local economy. We also hope these renewing members are seeing increased value for their membership.
